If you had the priority which wmu/area would you look at for a 50 plus inch moose?

How much priority do you have? Best place for a 50"+ moose with the least amount of priority is probably Grande Cache area. Best place with lots of priority? I would have to say a prairie zone, but you need to know where to go

I'd go west of Grande Prairie. I hunted the BC side of Kakwa and have seen several large specimens. My dad and his friends has hunted the area for over 20 years and they have pulled out several in the 55 to 62 inch range. An old native once told my dad that the moose go back and forth across the border.

I would have to say the Rock Lake area north of Hinton. The WMU 440 has always been good for mid 50 - 60 inch. bulls. Every year local hunters from Hinton take huge bulls out of there.
