this is my favorite thread here so far.  nube....which one was from 2010?  i still havent seen it.
I didn't get a straight on shot but he was 22" wide if I remember right.  Also has a few points on the bases.  Biggest deer I saw all year except for the ones I had on camera.  Wasn't the one I was looking for though.

Nube, that last buck you posted carries some pretty good mass.  I like it.
Reminds of this one we got.  A 507 buck.

Some great bucks!!!  I am really hoping to put a good 160+ whitetail on the ground this year with a trip to Sask and maybe a short trip north in Alberta for a few days!!!

I think I told the story on AO but did not want to post pics of it.  I had hunted all week and not seen much.  It was mid day and I told my buddy I knew where some does were and I needed one to feed the boys at the Firehall so I said lets go whack one.  I went down the logging road to an open area where they were doing some fresh logging and there was a buck with a doe.  I quickly jumped out of the truck and checked out the buck and thought he was a mid 150"-160" and passed him up.  Not worth killing in my books.  I was waiting for my buddy to shoot the doe and at the shot the buck flinched and stumbled foreward as he took off at 80 yards.  I was amazed he kept going and so well.  I thought I would help out so I swung and flopped him on his butt.  I then went to the doe and she stopped at 120 yards out and I popped her betweent he eyes.  Then I heard another shot and I guess the buck had his head up and my buddy went for the head shot as that is all he saw.
When we went over there we found the buck with his bottom jaw with a hole through it. (last shot).  Then we checked it out and the only other hole was the one I put in him to dropped him on the run.  My buddy said it wasn't his to claim so my tag went on it and that was the end of my season.  It scored 166"   It ended up being fine as we didn't see anything that I would have hung on the wall anyways before we went home.

Later I helped a friend of mine kill this nice buck as well 2 days later on the last day of the hunt.  It scored 164"

Awesome Matt!  Hope you get a good one this year.  Have you been up there looking for sheds yet?  Did you find many dead ones

Here's my biggest. Grossed 191 and 178 net. He was an old warrior covered in scars.

With all this moisture this spring, I'm optimistic that 2011 could bring another cranker!

Wowzers, nice buck, Doug.  That's going to be a tough one to beat.  I can't wait to chase big whitetails this fall too.

That's a pretty sick deer Midwest close to the overall Alberta NT record I think, can't recall what the Morin buck scored.
