And don't even get me started on the Ken07/Fishingmom show.  Gawd.  It's not just irritating and annoying, but kind of creepy and disturbing too.
I'm with you on that one!

You guys can't imagine how refreshing it is to hear this and to hear of the effort that Albertasportsman is putting into getting some simple answers to these issues. There is a small clique that has an inside line to doors that are closed to most of us and it is obvious that this is the case. To finally be able to have these conversations can only strengthen the entire system. For some this may be painful but the last time I looked the idea of democracy was still intact in the province. We should be getting the biggest bang for our dollars and no one person or group should have exclusive rights to the govt. purse.

Nothing pisses me off more than be forced fed by "The Voice of Alberta's Hunters, Anglers & Trappers" knowing full well that is the furthest thing from the truth.

You have my full support so by all means let me know how I can help.

I agree with this statement.

Pretty hard to be our voice when you are muzzled...

The day big bozo and his cheer leader come over here is the day this site goes to shit.

We so badly need a change of government in this province and with it a change of attitude.
I believe that will come with the next election. This province definitely needs a shakeup and a fresh start and I think the WRA are the people for it......

It would also be nice to see some new faces and articles in the hunting, fishing regs. It's been controlled by SSP for too long and is getting stale. There's hardly any room for the regs in there with all the advertisements now, it reminds be of watching a good movie and here comes 5 minutes of commercials.  lol

Personally guys I don't think letters of change to this government will be heard. I recently sent one to our MLA asking why one business can advertise in a government paid magazine and not the other. I stated my thoughts, that the publishers were being bias.  Alberta now has another voice for outdoorsmen and it's competition for the present so they were refused entry into the mag. I got no reply whatsoever.
Like I said, I do believe the next election will present us with a new government and thats the time to make our voices heard.

Paul, I wish you all the best. We know the tides of change are on the horizon and your support team is growing larger everyday. Alberta now has another voice for outdoorsmen and we will be heard no matter who does or doesn't like it. I know you ask for nothing more than fairness and if thats the way SSP react to you advertising in their government paid magazine then they deserve everything they may get. I've always said, never bite the hand that feeds you, you may regret it someday.

Hayseed, that one flew completely over my head, haven't got a clue what you are talking about unless it was meant for Walleys.

Well not surprising really, not sure what's being advertised though?? Did you post a link to our site? Did you offer to sell a similar knife there? What exactly were you advertising?

Blacktail, I see Mr. Jeff Brownbear is right on top of things over there again.  Rob must be very proud of him.  It is too bad they are not consistant in their enforcement of policy though.  I posted pics and links to axe and hatchet manufacturers that were not site sponsers and it passed the sensorship policy.   ???
Must have just missed that one, after all the mods are just volunteers.

Didn't post a link or nothing just mentioned this forum and the knife I made and a pic
Funny that I posted a pic of a knife I supplied for HuntingBC.ca spring bear contest a couple months ago and it wasn't deleted

The only advertising was the obvious self promotion of my work and I have advertised knives on that site before and not had the posts deleted.

WOW you guys here must really have ruffled a few feahters ........   :o....  ;D

just like when I posted the pics of my rifle that customgunworx built me. He wasnt a sponsor then so they deleted it and banned him from using the name customgunworx unless he became a sponsor( which he did just to keep his name out there). All I did was wanna show my rifle. Wasnt promoting any one just said who built it. Havent seen many adds for Corolanes over there( at least when I was a member) but a select few sure promoted their stuff. Funny the local Alberta gun maker got the shaft and the BC one was allowed, funny how that works! Yep the true voice of the Alberta...      well anyone that pays them I guess as it sure isnt the Alberta Sportsmen and women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is a good one for those of you that are members of AO still. I got my wife to message an AO member and get her to inform him of this site so I could communicate with him. So she did and now when she tried to log in she is banned for life and this is the reasoning,

"You have been banned for the following reason:
No need for Darcy to be sending messages from this account.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never"

The message was sent via PM. So tell me they do not read PM's and monitor certain people. PMs are personal buisness not to be monitored. Sure be nice to confront some people in person and get them from behind their key boards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a bunch of spinless chicken shit loosers running that site. Hope you AO guys dont post anything that you dont want public over there LOL

Sheep, unreal, what a bunch of spinless creatures, nothing is private anymore. I kind of had a hunch along they were monitoring PM's.
That is so wrong.
Members make a forum what it is and without a strong membership the advertising isn't there. That scumbag makes money off forum members and he can't even respect their privacy.

BTW, check out A.S. on facebook and hit the 'like' button if you like what you read.  ;)

Ya but........PMs are private over there.  They told me so.    ;D lol.
Your not saying they lied to us are you.   :o   Sorry Paul, but I had to post the evidence that AO pms are private.   ;)  I know we shouldn't even be talking about them but this is one of the reasons I am here and not posting there anymore.

That's brutal!  In the future I'll be pretty careful about what I put in PM's.  Interesting though, if they're monitoring PM's, and banning people based on the content of those PM's (not that I can see where your wife broke any forum rules by sending a message on your behalf), why haven't certain other member's been banned?  I can think of one big, stupid idiot that has violated forum rules via PM's (threats ect.) countless times, and he's still there.  Seems like there's different sets of rules for different people, depending on who your friends are.  Weird.
