if you are looking you might see this lonely Billy Goat Gruff on the way to Jasper at the pull off where they cliff jump.... or goats and sheep get minerals just before

Crazy where those animals go.. We would see the odd one while hunting the Castle Mountain area a few years ago and it would blow my mind where those critters would hang out.

It is pretty amazing where they can go on a rock face.  I have watched a few over the years and expect them to fall/slip every time but it never happens.

I used to go out to a spot west of Nordegg to watch goats from #11 but have not seen them there in a while.  Think about how they get by in a mountain winter.

There was a herd of 11 to 17 at Maligne Lake but they are gone last couple of years .. not sure if a slide got them or  a cougar moved in or the wolves did but they are gone of the mountain you can see from the dock.. winter must be a big factor
