Donny Zenner
« on: September 13, 2011, 06:28:00 PM »
Why is there so many dark storys of Donny Zenner? Seems to do some pretty dirty dealings and not stand behind his stuff. Then over the past year it sounds like some not so good hunting ethics.

Yet there are so many people who stand behind him and defend him to no end.  The proof is out there, why do so many people back him. You dont see too many people defending Jeff Foiles these days. Why Donny.

Gaga, if you are obsessed with Zenner here is his facebook page

http://www.facebook.com/people/Donny-Zenner/1612401467

Why don't you add him as a friend and send him a message with any questions you might have for him...he is not a member here, and therefore cannot defend himself. Furthermore he is not such an important public figure that we need to discuss him here.

He has his own tv show, makes videos, sells stuff, and rips people off. Someone like him should not have fans. It pisses me off to no end that people support someone like him. I was really hoping the membersship on this forum had some comments about him.

He still sets up a big booth at the sportsman show. Yet he wont answer his phone or return calls or facebook messages about warrantying items he sells.
Yes teh show is still on. Just not on Wild TV. Cant blame them for dropping him.

I don't see anyone else here bitching about him. If you have issue with him take it up with him or simply don't purchase from him.

well bobo, you want to know about donny huh?  my advice would be to ask the guy if you have any questions for him.

i was in his shop once and that day he wasnt the most friendly guy ever, but it could be he was having a bad day.  as far as the rumors and stories flying around....well, thats all ive ever heard is rumors and stories.  ive never seen any solid proof showing him to be a crook, a poacher, or any other of the things ive heard him called.  this isnt specific to him.....ive known of several other guys like him that kill bigger than average trophy animals on a steady basis, and the results are the same.  lots of jealousy surrounds guys like that because most hunters are just not at the level of commitment and determination that it takes to be consistently at the top of the heap.  that jealousy manifests itself and comes out as verbal diarrhea, and in my opinion makes the guy spewing it look far worse than the guy that any given dumbass is talking about.  its a common thing for small people to want to see someone better than them fall.  its why britney spears and lindsey lohan have gained so much popularity.

its common knowledge that great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, and small minds discuss people.  its clear where you fit.
opinions are like sphincters......everyone has one, and they all stink!

That's just funny.  LOL  Agree with Bambi - the small man is jealous of the guys that do the hard work to consistently harvest mature animals.  Besides his work ethic, I would also guess that he has a circle of friends that help him locate these animals.  A friend of mine has hunted with him in the past and has nothing but great things to say about him.  Pisses him off every time he sees these types of stupid threads and comments.

Agree can't believe this was dug up. If anyone has some sort of issue with zenner take it up with him, baseless claims and accusations are pointless.

it isnt mine.  i read that somewhere when i was in high school.  even as a teenager when i knew everything, it struck me as profound.  it made me want to be better than that, and since then, i have tried hard not to get sucked in to gossip and rumors.  as ive grown and matured, i notice more and more how some others have remained mental midgets that insist on gossipping like teenage girls.  its sad for adults to act that way.

in fact, i remember a situation from back then.  ill even name the guy as dave moore from around these parts.  he had a knack for klilling big whitetails year in and year out.  the jealous tards at local trophy shows nicknamed him moonlight moore and were positive that he must be killing deer in the city limits, and and noight....out of season...yada yada....

the first time i met him and spoke with him, he turned out to be a pretty nice guy.  after i learned where and how he hunts, it became clear that he just works much harder at hunting than most guys do.  he hunts a long way from here in a great are for producing trophies, and with the time he spends at it, he has found consistent success.  after learning a few things, i am a little ashamed to say today that i believed what i heard about him so long ago.  in fact, i have seriously lost respect for the guys that i heard the rumors from, and gained a bunch for a guy that works hard for his "good luck".

the interweb amplifies this kind of thing.  my advice to anyone is to at least meet someone in person before making a decision what kind of person they are.  interweb personalities arent always a true reflection, and rumors definitely arent.

well just reading it is so true!. i like to think of myself as very impulsive and ambitious. im not much of a hunter but i freaking love to fish. for literally anything and anywhere no matter what the chances are im down. ive caught some rather wild fish in weird situations just because i tried. kinda motivating lil quote. thanks for sharing. ya i understand having used to work at the fishin hole know what kind of stories we could hear and some of the gossip some people come in with. cant say anything bad about it though it was the best job i ever had. 95% success stories happy moments and and just fun times but theres always just some people right that could never be satisfied with what they saw someone do or how they saw someone else fishing :/ . i always say so be it.
