Heard A Rumor About Suffield

  I heard that the Suffield Base is closing. Is this true!! or are the Brits not renewing a contract or something, and if so what would become of all the land. Maybe that's why there was a hunt on the base last fall. Can anybody verify this?

I wouldn't believe that for a heartbeat.  The brits would close BATUS right after they disbanded their army.  Not to mention CFB suffield, and dres.  Plus, if suffield were to ever close, medicine hat would cease to exist within 24 hrs.

Besides, if the brits ever Did pull out, (which will likely never happen), the germans and others salivate over that training area.

Not trying to argue about it, but few people in the hat realize how important to the city the suffield complex is.
