Hello, how is everyone doing?  I was introduced to the forum buy Paul C from Wee Hours Tackle.  He said you might like some of my videos I post on YouTube.  So here I am to join in.

I currently live in California, but grew up in Alberta and really still and Albertan at heart.  Usually get to fish there a couple time a year still when we're up to visit the family.  Working on moving back to Canada hopefully in the next year. Just miss it too much to stay away for much longer.

Down here I do a lot of similar fishing in Southern Cali as I did up in Canada, for trout in streams and lakes.  I never knew this stuff existed down here before I came.  Anyways I'll post some videos when I make them.  Hope you enjoy.

I am also a kayak fisherman so if anyone is looking to getting into kayak fishing I cam possibly answer some of your questions.

This is my most recent video of some Rainbows Fighting:

Thanks for joining. Bill Schmunk at Bait Buttons USA lives in Fall Rivers Mill, Californa, USA. He is the manufacturer of Bait Buttons.
There should be a tackle shop near you to check out this new fishing product. There is some die hard fishaholics here..;)

Sweet a Dentist.  I guess there is hope for me to create some type of fishing gadget.  Now I'm not sure when this guys came up with his idea, but when Alberta went to barbless hooks my brother, grandpa and I started to think how to keep bait on the hook.  Came up with something similar using a small piece or rubber or elastic band.  His product the bait button is way more efficient though with the container!

Haha, I was curious once I found out he was a Dentist and living in California I checked on him.  At least the sources I found on line say he graduated from Loma Linda University.  That is the same school where I did Medical school and I currently work in the Hospital Loma Linda University Medical Center.  Small world.

Did a little more research, seems like he grew up Seventh Day Adventist as well like me, which is a Christian Denomination.  I'm not sure if he is still involved in the church.

Now I'm really curious why you were introducing Bill Schmunk to me, seems like I need to meet the guy for some reason now.

I'm always open to free samples!!!  I can use them in some videos as well.  It is good publicity to have YouTube videos on products and write ups on blogs.

They have some that people stand in, just depends how much balance you have.  Some are easier than others and some are like small boats.  I own the pro 2 tandem fish and dive by www.malibukayaks.com and if I was to buy again I would definitely look into getting a Hobie fishing kayak.  Check them out http://www.hobiefishing.com who make some that should be good for flycasting as you can see in pictures on the website.

Eastern Sierra Cutthroat Fishing with the Family (pics/video)
« Reply #14 on: August 20, 2013, 05:22:08 PM »
We were up in the Sierras last week and on the way home stopped for a short day hike.  I brought the fishing rod along and turned out to be a great decision.  The Cutthroat were attacking my fly and float setup most of the day and caught a bunch of very colorful trout.  Just waded out to the drop of and cast a bead head prince nymph to the edge.  Seemed like a slow retrieve would trigger bites.  I was getting tons of bites and it was pretty neat as the fish would chase the fly right up to me.  One fish even ate my float and when I set the hook the float slid down the line and the fish got hooked in the mouth.  This was caught on the video.   Anyways for some of the action check out the pics and video below.

Thanks guys,

I'm working on creating a little fishing partner and I figure you can't start to early.  She likes fishing, just a little scared of the fish, haha.
