We are stick building in the same spot, we have a 60 year old yard with lots of trees , we himmed and hawwed but decided to keep the house close to the same spot. We are spinning it east west though. It was a huge decision as I was 3 years from being mortgage free , but electrical issues foundation issues mood issues all played a factor. Bit the bullet do to speak lol.
