It amazes me how a few people think a public forum is going to run without a heated discussion or confrontations. It's getting really old hearing how this site was so much better before and how it's going the way of AO. The reason guys liked it before is because they had thier run of it.
Now that it has grow some and more people passionate about the same things but with varied opinions have joined the now get called on a few things and there are more debates on stuff!! It's the way it is boys and girls. The only way you will ever get the forum you dream of is to make your own and only let a few of your buddies join!!!
We have had debates and arguments here but they have more or less been dissolved within the members!! That right there puts this forum ahead of many others.

What I'm trying to say is to you that comment on every debate discussion or argument that the site is going down hill, well your wrong. It's growing and is getting more public input and if you want some prissy we never argue or have issues type forum an public forum of any sorts probably isn't the best place for you!!!!

When a member of a fourm only posts to argue is what drives me nutz. And one of the biggest has started posting here. I souposse I can leave or choose to watch him argue with every one.

With so few members can this place handle a member who argues with every post and stirs the pot just for the sake of doing it?

I dont think anyone has an issue with heated discussions, even the odd argument if you will that's life. But there are a couple guys on here that it just gets old after a while, even before they post you can pretty much guess that their response will be argumentative and ignorant. This place is a great place, personally I will never leave, but there are a couple guys on here that if they left it would make this forum a much better place.

Paul always said he wouldn't get ban happy and that's cool, but that rule will have to change eventually if this place is to grow and we want to attract new people.

Ignorance is ignorance I don't care where it is,, assholes are for one thing only and it ain't to have conversations with..

Walleyes, you nailed that one bang on! Disagreements and heated discussions are ok but when the name calling, mud slinging and personal attacks start it derails the thread and other members stop posting.

We can learn alot here from each other but when you have know- it -alls following every thread and turning them into a mud slinging session, it gets old and chases good members away. Opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one and if you don't like what is said, simply agree to disagree and move on. It's my opinion when you run out of argument and start the mud slinging it only shows uyour ignorance and inmaturity.

Self centred, undisciplined ego's have no place on any forum!

I'm new here and new to the whole online forum thing. I'm confused why a couple of people are so agumentative all the time and what the heck is this other place evryone talks abourt.

No I'm the bad one that likes to be argumentative and discredit every thread started!!!!! LoL

But I'll soon maybe improve into someone like one of these reformed former assholes that have since seen the light!! Nah actually that's a lie!

Or maybe I'll just move forward contributing what I can and helping out where I can! All the while stating my thoughts and arguing my opinions as I feel is needed.

But on a brighter note yes this place is by far the best forum to be part of!! At least there are only a couple of us trouble makers here not hundreds!!

I find you are passionate about the outdoors and very strongly believe your own opnions. Nothing wrong with that. You seem to have trouble accepting when someone doesn't agree with you which does leads to a lot of repeated posts. But no forum is perfect!

Oh I accept that they don't agree. Doesn't phase me in the least. Lots of times their reasoning or ideas are what I don't accept. And if I believe in my heart and gut that my ideas and thoughts are valid and truthful there better be so solid and valid debate to sway me another way. I won't argue a point unless I have some pretty solid footing to stand on!!
If I wasn't to back my experience and opinions I'd feel way worse than offending someone or than being removed from a forum!!

Contribution to a discussion, sharing knowledge, friendly debate, and disagreement are all good and what forums like this are all about. Some folks need to accept the fact that others have, and are entitled to their own opinion. There are some that appear to believe that by posting the most in a thread or repeating their viewpoint over and over that they will change the world.

This especially true when opinions are being debated and a little tact goes a long way. It takes some skill to call bs on someone and not offend them.
