Ya for sure, it looks like the stars are aligning so far and we should get that trip in to a couple of awesome lakes up in God's country.  I got some really great news tonite regarding our plans, check your pm box.  Walleyes and I have been talking about a trip into these lakes for a couple of years now.

Would be great to meet some more of you guys some day.

It depends on what people want to do at such a get together.

Fish in the day and party together at night?
Fish derby?
Just camp in an area and visit and exchange ideas and information?
Shoot some clay birds then put away the guns and have a few beers?
Set up a "random range" and shoot rifles a bit?
Camp together in a clearing, have bacon and eggs in the morning and go off in different directions to hunt?  Then sit around a big fire in the evening?

A beer and BS session sounds like a good time. Red Deer's a little to far away for me though. It's a fun town I did a year of college/drinking/skirt chasing their.

Lots of folks don't want to drive far so a one day event might not be the best, that's why I mentioned a group camping event.
I'm sure not everyone would agree but a fish in the day and BS in the evening sounds great to me. ;)

I'm down for a road trip! RD is only a cpl hours for me. There's some great places to group camp for free with lots of available firewood, lakes and trails around west of caroline where the mud and snow club meets just before Burnco where Hwy 54 ends and meet up with the trunk road. When were you thinking of doing this??? I am dying to meet some like minded folks....when you live alone in the country any excuse to get out of the prairies and into the bush is good enough for me!!!!

Count me in. Lizzy needs some adventure :)

Was thinking more along the lines of an evening meet and great in the near future but if guys want to get a camp out going I'm game for that too.

From the sounds of it there's ample distance between all of us lol. I'd even be down for a day trip somewhere outdoors. Evenings maybe tricky for those of us who are 2-5hrs away? U guys just make the plan and those who can attend can work around you :)

Great idea btw! Maybe if some folks met more often in person there wouldn't be so many silly squabbles on here over nothing LOL. But mind you, its still entertaining nonetheless.

Even a long range day would be cool. Or just a day to take the guns out and everyone can do some shooting, bring some clays out and maybe have some friendly competition :) make it a potluck afternoon/picnic type o' deal and then ladies can come with you guys, others can burn around on quads/bikes/sleds.....maybe kid friendly? You came up with the idea you decide :) I'm just brain storming here

Yippeeee!!!!
