Stanley cup final
« on: June 12, 2011, 08:41:29 AM »
Even if Vancouver isn't your team, anybody else hoping the cup finally makes it's way back to Canada? I think Vancouver is a far more talented team, but Boston's got a pretty hot goaltender right now

I would like to see the canadian kids win. Boston has more of them. Go Bruins.

The problem with the Canuks right now is, they are letting Boston get in their head, especially the Sedins. They need to play hockey and ignore the intimidation and taunting.
The BB will probably win the next one in Boston and then Van will bring the cup back home.

Everbody has their preference. Personally I would like to see the Canadian kids with the nucks have it, after all, they chose to play for a Canadian team.  :)

You're right Tuc, it is purely a mental thing. They are a far more skilled team, just need to realize it. After seeing Thomas interviewed after game 4, his arrogance was really showing through. I hope he falls hard.

They didn't choose, they were drafted. And if they had their choice, I'm pretty sure they would choose to play south of the border. But, your right everyone has their preference.

What's up with the home team winning all the time.  If the trend keeps up it will be Vancouver in seven.  One would almost think the fix is on.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

the big question.
how deserving is a team of the mug, when your starting goaltender gets yanked in two games (so far) in the stanley cup finals?

You know what I haven't checked Luguigo's stats but this guy isn't there when they need him the most. He's in his head. Wasn't his last two games in Boston enough to convince the powers that be they should sit this guy for game 6.

He doesn't like playing in Boston and it's my opinion they should have put Cory in the nets.
The hell with the ,"Oh he's our star goaltender BS"..... you do whatever it takes to win the cup, which is more important than the over rated status most hockey critics have on RL.
RL is very sporatic, he's either on or he sucks....no in between for this guy. I have a feeling if the Canuks lose the cup, they'll have another look at their over rated, all star, goalie.

I hope the bruins can break the trend of the home team advantage. They need a repeat of last night pop a few early and take the crowd out of it.

And luongo? What a Douche!! Can't believe they would even think of starting him last night.

It's following the script of the Oilers and Flames last runs to the Cup perfectly, so based on that, the Bruins will break the home team trend and hoist the Cup tonight.

3-1 Bruins.
