This is my Prairie
« on: September 27, 2011, 08:06:04 PM »
Another Corb Lund classic.  I hadn't heard this one till now.  Corb sure comes up with some powerful lyrics.
I am a born in Alberta boy and really appreciate his Albertan music. Ya, and I got this old rifle that my grand daddy owned too.  :)

"I don't got the money that lawyers can buy
I don't got my own government's laws on my side
But I got this old rifle that my grand daddy owned
And this is my prairie, this is my home"

Also "The Truth Comes Out" is so Albertan.

I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?
Gettin' down on the mountain, gettin' down on the mountain

I really enjoyed watching the video that was made on the first take. Reminds of the eighties and nineties when music was recorded live in a small setting. Good tune as well.... :)
