Bear Lake (Edson)
« on: July 23, 2013, 04:52:30 PM »
Had a couple of fun days camping at Bear lake and the fishing wasn't to bad either.

Got into some nice perch but we had to catch about four small ones for every keeper. Also lots of hammer handle jacks and a few walleye too.
It sure broke my heart when we had to turn those loose.. :(

Anyways here's a couple of pics..

Good times, Sonny!  Not a bad walleye for that lake too.
Those perch look delicious.
 :)
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

Nice catch Sonny......the perch look tasty. I bought a batter (or coating) at Bass Pro last summer that I use on all my fish when I fry them. It's called 'Uncle Buck's', the stuff is absolutely delicious. I dip the fish in milk then roll it around in the batter, then fry in butter.  Give it a try sometime I bet you'll like it. You can probably get the stuff at Cabelas too.

Good catch sonny! We're you fishing bottom for the walleye or just on a spoon?

We were fishing on the west side of the lake right next to the lily pads in 8 feet of water using a slip bobber with hook and small minnows. The walleye was an accidental catch.
