Here is the video link:
Cool time lapse of the sunrise:
This has to be one of the most extreme weather ice fishing experiences I have ever fished. The wind was howling and snow blowing filling your hole and covering your gear in a minute or so. Got out there in the dark at Driftwood and hiked out to the middle. Where I drilled it was about 65 feet deep. I was marking fish near the bottom which were slow movers and following the jig but not committing. Then one came in and hit, then I cranked the jig up and he chased it up and grabbed it. The MarCum really comes in handing getting fish to bite. I landed this fish and that was to be all the luck I had. Stayed out until noon but it was just too cold to stay longer. What a crazy day, stunning scenery and sunrise. Tried out the new Big Game Bait Buttons and are a great addition if you want to tag a smelt on to a larger jig.
