Florida Bass Fishing with Dad

So my Dad decided that he was taking me to Florida to go bass fishing with him, well I wasnt about to look a gift horse in the mouth. We spent two days fishing on lake Toho with our Guide Jay Turner ( jaysbassbustin.com ) It was a great time. We were fishing with live shiners for bait rigged up below a float, we would cast them near cover and then let the bait swim around and do there thing. When a bass was lurking near by you would know right away as the float would start moving erratically. Wait till the float goes under reel down fast and BUST EM with a big hook set. We landed about 50 bass each day but missed twice as many as we landed. We got into one spot on the lake near a dock that Jay figured would be holding some big bass, well I got a fish on and when I got it to the boat to my surprise it was a Gar. That spot produced another 10 gar after the first one. The second day we were fishing near a small grass mat and I spotted a big gator cruising by he was at least a ten footer. Then an hour or so later Jay our guide through a top water bait and caught a 6 foot gator it was crazy.
If you ever get the chance to go bass fishing in florida it is a hoot you wont regret it.
