Mid-Winter Rainbows
« on: February 16, 2014, 06:46:16 PM »
It was great to get out this morning for a bit and get some nice chunky rainbows for the smoker.  Paul and I got enough for a batch.
Good to see the rainbows are doing well and were very scrappy with a lot of energy.  I am thinking winter kill won't be as big issue this year compared to last.
Paul kicked my butt 4 - 2 this time.
Crappy cell phone pics only this time.

Ice was thick.  I would say close to 30 inches or a bit more now.

It was fun fish for a few hours. Glad to see that fish are quite healthy and are aggressive to catch. Thanks to Axeman for help landing them.
