Pulled the trigger on a decent torque wrench trying to get some repeatability when changing out parts what you think is tight may not be… some scope rings were not up to spec.

Looks good ,what brand is it.I bought a fat wrench by wheeler ,seems all right,like you said I was always guessing if things were tight enough/or to tight.

This one was made by westward ¼ drive 15 inch pounds to 285.
