has anyone bought tackle from bbj?
what sort of quality is it?
I heard the paint flakes off easily

I don't do a lot of pike fishing, and I definitely don't need any more jigs lol, so there isn't much there that I'm in the market for, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to buy from him if he comes up with some stuff that I like the looks of.

Well if I ever get around to buying a fly rod He's told me he has some great pike flys so I hope to be doing business with him soon.

Ive used some of this stuff and love it. I plan on buying more when I some extra cash.
Why not just buy a few hooks from him and see if you like them or not?

This is a Custom Treble hook I did for a guy , who trolls for pike with fly rod

And some others .

and a Triple hook I call this one the Great Canadian HOOKER

I can do pretty close to any color I have . But the red , and Yellow are the best sellers by far .

I can make them as small as a 1/0 hook but useually make them a 5/0 . Gives ya some weight , and more hook to hook into a big pike . At least those are my feelings . Let me know depending on the size hooks Ill have to order some of the larger sizes .

I had a two handed Steel head rod , used it for pike , was chucking close to a 1/2 oz Pike flys to them things , but at Coal lake . Then that got boring and I'm all about the top water baits for them . Something about chucking out a 2 oz spinner reeling it is so fast your arms about to fall off and the wake of a a bruiser behind . THATS EXCITEING . Almost like the first time you sit in pervert row at the titty bar .

Im not to sure what you mean by Steel Gear . Like leaders and such ? Or spoons , spinners etc .

Nice Pike fly's BBJ. They would work well on the Pike lakes I fish around home. Specially the yellow I think.

I had a fellow order 2 dozen of the Red and the yellow says that they have been working really well for him.

I had BBJ make me some Buck Tail Jigs and I am into two dozen Pike on the Whitefish imitation and all the buck tail is still hanging tough. The other ones he made are still brand new because the first two I have used ( Whitefish, Perch ) are still in great shape.

My $1.25 worth.
