Ive been talking for years at getting a boat . After many years of fishing out of my tin can 12 footer , Or from shore . The past 6 weeks Ive really looked at boats of all brands . I finally settled .

Bought the 2012 Pro Guide V-175 Combo with the 115 XL OptiMax I had all the options a guy can buy added and it still only cost me GST all in 26,000 and change . I decided to Finance it for 5 years to keep payments low.
The lay out of the boat is perfect everything I wanted it to be , wish it had 1 or 2 more cubby's but whichever . I also get the motor extended warranty from Mercury from 5 year to 7 years free .Also going to upgrade the fish finder / sonar , perhaps move the current one to the bow and mount the new one on the consol .

I have the Bill of sale on hand I go pick it up at the end of March , but need to go in and take my banking information and what not next weekend .

Pretty excited Ive been in several boats , but never owned me a real motor boat . So I took that stupid boaters course , and get the card in the mail here . Now just to get a plate for the trailer , and registration for the boat life is gonna be perfect . I cant wait for the lakes to melt .

I was very pleased with the Service from Bass Pro Shops in Calgary there , Salesmen by the name Chi was super awesome , not pushy , wanted to know what I wanted in a boat , probably helped I did my home work . And the Finance guy Bill was super awesome aswell . I would defenetly buy another boat from these guys .

Anyone else own this boat in previous years ?

Heres a few pictures of er .

Congratulations on the fine new boat BBJ, I am sure it will serve you well for many years. Tracker has been in business for years if they didn't make a decent product they would of been tits up long ago. Take care of her and she will take care of you..

Way to go BBJ!!! Nice looking rig....
I recently upgraded myself. Are we going to make that trip up to northern Sask happen this year. I want to be nailing those lakers early so the end of May, first of June suits me just fine.

Congrats BBJ, looks like a great boat.

Now you can start planning for all the extras - bigger sonar unit, front and rear trolling motors, onboard battery charger, lifejackets, ropes, anchors, rod holders, bumpers, travel tarp, stone guard, well, you get the picture $$$$$$$$$$$.

It's worth every penny though...

Sounds good, let me know if you can get away.

Waxy you mentioned a onboard battery charger...as in solar panel or did you have something else in mind?

It's just a standard battery charger that stays connects to all the batteries and mounts permanently in the boat.  No lugging around a charger(s), accessing batteries, or hooking things up, just run a cord and plug in a single outlet and everything charges.  I can't imagine being without one, especially if you're running a 24V or 36V system.

Also, look for one with at least a 10 AMP capacity per bank, the 4 and 5 amp models don't have the juice to charge the bigger deep cycles quickly enough to get you back on the water at 100% the next day if you've really run the batteries down.

BBJ,

If you're wondering who was honking at you at the stop light at BPS, that was me lol.

I saw you picking up your boat on Sunday, big grin and all lol.  I wanted to stop and introduce myself and shoot the breeze a little but I was by myself with two kids in tow and they were "grumpy" to say the least.  Too bad, I would have liked to meet you and have a look at that boat.

Looks like a sweet ride you got there, be sure to post some pics once you get it all rigged out.

I wondered who that's was damn it  was a very exciting day .

I will Paul the one thing I wish was a little more storage and I've come to the conclusion it's hard to fine rod hollers to fit into that rail system. As its kinda like a tounge in groove .
