Well guys, I spent some money last night and ordered a 2012 4-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (Sahara). I finally ground the salesman far enough into the ground. It will be built in the Ohio plant and should be here inside of 12 weeks. Good timing as Jeep just announced a $2000 factory rebate offer for the month of February. Dealing with new car salesman and dealerships is sure a rodeo these days.
It has the new 3.6 l Pentastar engine and 5 speed auto which makes 40% more power (285 hp) and gets 15% better fuel economy (30 mpg hiway) than the old 2011 3.8l V6. The new engine won a top ten finish in the best engines in the world last year when they put it in the Cherokees. The Jeep is finally complete with a good engine.
It should suit our lifestyle quite well and I have the utility trailer I built last fall to pull the quad and hunting gear behind it. I like the idea of having the internal storage room of an SUV but still need full offroad capability. I can join the Jeep forums now....
My poor old Dakota 4x4 will never forgive me. I think I will keep it though.
