After my sheep hunt, if you get your bow tuned. I may have some extra time , we can see what we can find!

Now that is a great attitude ;D.  I would actually take you up on it if I had the time.  I won't have much time for my own hunts this year.  I appreciate the offer though.

I'm P9 for archery antelope but I'm going to 999 it this year. My nephew should draw an antlered mule tag this year and if he does I'll be helping him get one with a bow, looking forward to that. I'll just be getting OTC tags this year for elk and deer.

Yah now you live in Sask where you don't need a draw,, you lucky bugger. Well lucky about the draws not cause you live in Sask lol..

Ya Walleyes I love it.

I shot my moose last fall on a general tag, close to the cabin. Got a nice wt buck and had a cow elk (draw) tag but didn't use it, had enough meat.
They have a general season for elk here too but you can only hunt it if you weren't drawn, thats if you put in which I did and in the wrong zone. Still learning the system here. Next year I will only put in for cow elk in my zone. If I don't get it, I'll hunt the general season for elk on this 1/4 and my neighbours 1/4.
I'll try and post some pics later when I'm not so busy, I have moose running through my property here and the elk aren't far away.

Gotta love hunting in Saskabush!!!

Actually there are more of them further south of me. I've only seen about 4 mulies since I've been at the cabin....about 15 mths now.

Our draws are active already. I put in for moose and elk in 48 and 56, very close to home.

I was referring to the Sk draws, which are active in May. Alberta hunting draws don't happen until June.

Prairie moose should be a for sure. Mule deer south of the Hat since I got permission on some sweet land that had some crackers on it last year. From there I'll put in for my wmu 300 elk. I should be close to that one as well. Antelope I'm still undecided on, I want to get in before the rush of 999 guys start putting in again so may pull that one if I can. Other than that my goat, buffalo and 438 sheep top up my list.

August 25th can't come fast enough!!!
I probably won't draw anything unless I pull a lottery tag again. 999's across the board unless I make a freak decision and pull a ewe or archery antelope tag. My wife will be pulling a bull moose tag and a cow elk tag this year.........I watched some smoker bulls this winter so I'm hoping I can put her on a decent one.  OTC tags  get me jacked up enough! Just starting to get some trail cams out and tied some new permission up in the bowzone!!! Its that time a year again to start making the rounds to the landowners, trimming shooting lanes, and getting all the stands ready to be hung in the heat with the mosquitos.....

Did I mention I was excited?

Potty the anticipation is killing me lets hear what your pulling???????!!!!!!!!!!

I've been checking my wild Ab. every day in case the draw info's up yet, haha.  We still don't know what we're going to do for sure until I see the new drawbook.

A good friend said use em when you got em! So im not going to 99 anything. Might make antelope, might make moose and if a couple high priorities 99 i might have 300 elk.

That and the long shots goats and buffalo.

Its funny how this is working out, a good friend has one year more than me and will get this year and of the tags available we know half the people. Now knowing one more this could turn out to be quite the event.

Im a P11 on 437 trophy sheep..... Not sure if i have enough years left in this lifetime to draw this tag but i think im to commited to give up.. Why did i ever start putting in for that years ago...

You could easily go hunt sheep on a general tag still Matt.  I am sure you won't have too much trouble finding a big moose.  You seem to have them fall into your lap ;D

LoL a 190 typical was shot on the land I have permission on last fall as well as a couple just as big spotted so I guess I'll deal with the um small deer left in Alberta.

There are a few yep. Seen the pics of some that they turned down off there and id be happy with them for sure. My buddy gets a land owner tag every year and his family has owned the land for his hole life so he knows where they hang and what a good buck is. They turn down many 180+ bucks every fall. I've seen what they shoot so I know there are good bucks south of the hat for sure.
