Hey Rick, thought you were out bear hunting. What are you sitting in your stand on your blackberry?  ;)

I hunt with both bows and rifles as well. I picked up a recurve last year and have been putting in a lot of hours flinging arrows. I might be confident enough to give it a go this fall.

Bow hunter? Not with success... I refer to myself as more of a "bow-shooter."  I'll get an animal some day, but for now it is the fun of flingin' arrows :)

I use to be the same then I decided to take the first animal that got offered and have been having success ever since.  I use to refer to myself as the guy that takes his bow for a walk.  LOL  Keep at it, there is not many better feeling than when you get your first animal with the bow (except for the kids and those other important events LOL)

I'm a bow hunter....well I try. Im sure ishootbambi would be happy to discuss the mulie that got away;lol. Everyone on here must have used the wrong pin on a 170 mule deer at one time or another, right?  Still brings tears to my eyes and laughter to ishootbambi :'(

Did it on a turkey just last month.  Couldnt believe how much fun and exciting they were to hunt with a bow.  They can see everything and are extremely spooky.  First one that gave me an oppurtunity should have been dead but....rushed the shot and went over him at 30 yards.  Next time ;D

not so much justin.  he died a few days after the incident.  there were 7 bucks all in the 150-170 range and all were taken by the natives in mid october of 2009.

im not saying that to stir up a hornets nest or even complain about it.....its just what happened.
