Bwahahahaha...He ain't very big but it's still venison..

My normal go to gun is a winchester model 70 in a .30-06 but just for chit and giggles I took my 1950 Russian SKS.

It was an offhand shot with iron sights at about 75 yards using 123gr sp from Prvi Partizan.The shot was a little to far back for my liking (liver) but he still hit the dirt after running about 50 yards.

Anyways it was fun..

Ok just to set the record straight I'am not saying that the 7.62x39 is a good deer round.

No sir,there are many many better choices out there.

All I'm saying is that it is capable at short ranges..

My get go gun is still the .30-06
