Non Trophy Sheep Tags
« on: August 11, 2013, 10:01:25 AM »
Does any one no about any cut backs on non trophy sheep tags ? I've been talking to a few guy's and we weren't successful in the draw. No one drew tags in the zones that use to have  fairly low priorities.

Guess I'll have to wait for the 2013 Draw Summary report. I gave my local F&W officer an email and didn't get any response from him either. Look's like a sign of some of the first changes with sheep hunting.

I guess I was referring to the Willmore tags Kyle. I was justing looking at last years stats and wmu 440 had 39 tags, wmu442 had 69 tags and wmu 444 gave out 30 tags. Maybe the population got hit by preds. or a bad winter or it's just some of the changes coming with new sheep hunting plans. I applied in 440 with a priority 1 that is usually a sure thing. Had a friend apply to 444 with a 1 or 2 and he never drew a tag and had another friend apply for a tag in 442 which was 0 priority for as long as I can rember who didn't draw.
