I see that the Pheasant season is open from Sept 1 on in the WMU 200...

Is there anyone on here who thinks that there are pheasants that far north ..

I ussually hunt south of there in the 150's ...Is it worth a trip up there ....

You can see by my avatar , that the prince is resting up for a long season...

I know that this govt decision has been met by a certain amount of derision by those of us

who hunt hard ... Thanx W101

Maybe a little off topic, sorry. I was raising and releasing Pheasants around my place here in 248. I started out by getting a few prs. to help train my Labs, ended up with 5 big runs.
Anyways short story long;
2006 released 73
2007 released 71
2008 released 47
2009 released 65
Havent seen one freaking bird around!!!!!!!!!

Sold every Bird I had last year, loved having them to look at, but it got to be too much $$$$ just to feed the Yotes!

W101 , yes i find it amusing how there is a pheasant in a whole bunch of Northern zones , But where does the stock come from
